What distinguishes Les Mills Barre from other barre exercises?
The entire workout is performed in the center of the floor without the use of a bar.

What sort of exercises are included in Les Mills Barre?
I’ve done a ton of different barre lessons, but Les Mills Barre is by far the one that is most grounded in and inspired by ballet. Although it is an exercise, it has qualities more akin to a ballet class than a fitness session.
First position, second position, and other traditional foot positions used in ballet are included in the movements. Pliés, grand pliés, arabesques, tendus, ballet lunges, glissades, échappé leaps, spins, and more more are also included. You don’t need to be familiar with the terminology because the teachers call the moves by these names but walk you through each move step by step.
